After completing several successful school projects for Buckinghamshire Council, Alcema wanted to give something back to the community.  One of the team was aware of a local voluntary group ‘Berry Pickers’ who litter picked in the local community, so we made contact with them to ask what they needed to run an event, we donated litter picker tools and hi viz vests to aid the many volunteers in their quest to rid the area of litter!

On Saturday 17th April 2021 some of the Alcema team members joined over 30 of the Berry Pickers to help collect litter from around the local area.

After 2 hours the team had collected 46 black bags of rubbish!

The next session is being held on 1st May 2021, Berry Pickers are joining the Aylesbury Wombles to assist in further rid the litter from our streets and make the world a better place to live!

Both groups are happy for as many people to join them on an ad hoc or regular basis.
