Alcema were appointed to complete the the fitting out works together with some external works at Invicta Primary School in Deptford, for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
This project involved rapid co-ordination of the final design elements, including a new solar glazed roof to the schools DT Room, final MEP works to ensure the system was fully functioning and the fitting out of the schools new Admin Office.
THE WORKS COMPRISED:
• Solar glazed roof to the DT Room which required removal of the existing arrangement together with reinstatement of flashings and existing weathering.
• Completion of the final elements of partitions, ceilings and decorations.
• Final ironmongery to doors.
• New Entrance reception hatch to comply with DDA requirements.
• New blackout blinds to the classrooms.
• Completion of the sanitary installation.
• Installation of convector heaters together with plumbing modifications to allow easy installation.
• Completion of the ventilation extract system to the WC’s and Offices.
• Completion of the ventilation system together with cooker extracts to the DT Room.
• Final electrical and data works to various offices.
• External glazed canopies.
• External gate installation and making good.
The work was completed to a high standard, on time and within budget despite the challenges of the Covid-19 situation, with particular attention to managing and observing the Government guidelines for hygiene and social distancing.
