Jason is the company MD and has worked in the construction industry for 27 years, working at both regional and national main contractors.  Through this experience Jason is now Managing Director of Alcema, specialising in heavy construction, fit-out and refurbishment.

Paul Reeve

Regional Manager

Paul joined the company in April 2019 as our Regional Manager. Overseeing company expansion in the Midlands, he has over 25 years experience in the construction industry with a strong background in Quantity Surveying and Project Management he has led projects on both client and main contractor side ranging from small works schemes though to PFI schemes over £15 million. He has worked on many construction projects in all of the main sectors including, Health, Education, Ministry of Justice, Hospitality, Retail and Commercial and brings with him substantial experience and knowledge and a reputable supply chain that will benefit Alcema and its clients.

Stephen Edmonds

Senior Project and Technical Manager

An experienced Project and Technical Manager, Stephen has been in the industry since he was a child, learning and developing his skills while working for his family business.  He is a Chemistry graduate with an attention to design detail that ensures that problems are picked up quickly and rectified before they have the chance to snowball.  He has worked on projects valued in excess of £15 million and has been instrumental in all our project successes.

Chyrryl Culley

Compliance and Office Manager

Chyrryl joined the company as our Compliance Manager, overseeing all company processes and procedures in relation to Quality, Environment and H&S Management.  Chyrryl’s background is project management (Prince2 Qualified) within construction. She is also IOSH Managing Safely qualified.

Chas Bray

Health & Safety Consultant

Chas is an experienced and extensively qualified Construction Health & Safety practitioner.  He has worked alongside the team for the past 4 years and has helped embed a positive health and safety culture within the company.  As part of the Project Team, Chas will validate the Construction Phase Plan, undertake fortnightly audits and will monitor all works undertaken on site from a Health and Safety perspective.

Duncan Hamilton-Irvine

Managing Quantity Surveyor

Duncan is our Managing QS and has worked with Jason for many years.  Duncan supports Alcema with tendering and managing the costs on our projects.  He has been a contractors’ QS for 35 years.

Adam Nolan

Senior Quantity Surveyor & Project Manager

Adam has been a Contractors’ QS for over 15 years and is also one of our Project Managers.  He is a dynamic surveyor who always looks to work with project teams in a collaborative manner.

Andy Travis

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Andy has recently joined Alcema and is one of our Senior Quantity Surveyors and has been a QS for over 30 years. He works with the team in tendering for projects and places customer service, professionalism and quality as the most important factors. Andy has a very good report with our clients.

Tim Brewster

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Tim is our Senior Quantity Surveyor and has worked with Alcema tendering and managing the costs on projects. He has been a Contractor’s QS for 30 years and comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the construction industry.

Tim has built up relationships with clients and contractors alike to deliver a full range of quantity surveying solutions for construction project. He has worked on many prestigious projects which includes the roll out project of M&S stores, hotels, airports and retail.

Andy Bartlett

Senior Site Manager / Project Manager

Andy is an enthusiastic Site/Project Manager who started in the construction industry in 1981 through a Carpentry/Joinery apprenticeship.

Andy has worked within many sectors of the construction industry from shop fit outs, refurbishments to airport projects. He has a high work ethic and thrives on the opportunity of providing completed projects on time and to a high quality standard.

Marcus Darcy

Senior Site Manager / Project Manager

Marcus is one of our Senior Site Managers / Project Manager. He has been in the construction industry for over 18 years and site management for more than 10 years.

Marcus has an exemplar career history in delivering projects on all forms of construction. He has excelled more recently on projects such as 60nr new build villa project with Center Parcs, two large prestigious new build visitor centres for the National Memorial Arboretum and refurbishment and alteration works with the Pharmaceutical company MSD also large industrial warehouse projects using smart grid technologies for a local developer.

He is a highly driven, detailed, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking individual who excels and focuses on developing long term customer relations.

Gordon Saunders

Site Manager

Gordon has nearly 40 years experience within construction industry.  He is an experienced Site Manager and has worked within all disciplines of construction; from retail to building industrial units and schools.

Valdas Tyla

Site Manager

Val has been part of the Alcema team for over 5 years and works with a “can do” attitude.  He leads by example and gets the best from his team and our subcontractors.  Val has a shopfitting background and has lead fitting teams on a number of high level projects.

Ian Donovan

Site Manager

Ian has recently joined Alcema, however he has over 30 years experience within the construction industry. He is highly motivated and has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of all aspects of construction. Ian is a very approachable person and is always happy to assist the team with tendering.

Jim Turner

Site Manager

Jim began his career in construction as a joiner over 30 years ago and has worked his way through the trades. He is an experienced Site Manager and has worked with all disciplines of construction, shopfitting and refurbishment in retail, commercial and industrial units and residential.

Some of the projects Jim has worked on are many of the units at T5 Heathrow and Stansted Airport such as Harrods, Swarovski and Watches of Switzerland, M&S Marble Arch and Cardiff, Holland & Barrett plus Homebase.

Jim has worked with the Alcema Team for many years and has a good relationship with our clients. He is very focused and competent as a site manager.

Martina Shrimpton

Financial Controller

Martina has over 12 years of construction industry accountancy.  She produces forecasts, year end accounts and VAT returns for the company.  She maintains the accounts, payments and invoices.  Martina is AAT qualified and has gained lots of experience through her career in accounts.  She has brought order and consistency to the team and loves it when everything balances and matches!

Julie Thurston

Office Administrator

Julie joins Alcema with a wealth of experience having worked in the construction industry for the past 10 years.  She understands the fast pace of the construction office and works closely with our project managers and site management team to ensure the smooth running of a project from contract award to handover.

Julie will also support Chyrryl to ensure the consistent approach towards maintaining our ISO accreditations.

Antoinette Altamura

Strategic Project Manager

Antoinette has been a member of the team since the company’s inception, coming from quality assurance background she has helped in the development of the company’s processes and procedures. Her role is now focused on business development and strategic alignment of services with that of our client base.

Oliver Steward-Lees

Site Administration Assistant

Oliver has recently joined Alcema as a site administration assistant in a part time role whilst he is studying a level 2 plumbing course at a local college. He will assist the site managers with uploading of information onto the system and general administration duties. This is Oliver’s first role in the construction environment and a training programme has been put in place for him.
