The Pebble Brook School project has now gathered pace over the last couple of months following a very slow start which saw us managing the removal of a the asbestos from all areas of the building.

Our team have continually had to adapt and find alternative techniques to endeavour to keep things on track on this project.

To speed things up we designed a structural scaffold to provide full perimeter support of the buildings façade and external envelope. This has enabled the team to very quickly carry out the internal demolition works which said goodbye to all internal floors and walls.

We started the scaffold erection and demolition works at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and working on point to the governments weekly, sometimes daily, advise and recommendations we skillfully carried out this work by continually adapting to those requirements of social distancing and personal on site hygiene methods.

With the demolition phase behind us over the recent weeks we’ve cast the new foundations and installed the ground floor steelwork which went to plan and thankfully fitted millimetre perfect.

This week and next will see us installing the structural first floor which is reinforced concrete on metal deck.

Following this will be the first floor portal steel followed closely behind by the roof works.
